In short, Tictail let’s you create a webshop fast, simple and free. </p> <p><strong>But that’s only the beginning, over this coming year we’ll iterate and tweak our platform to serve a new generation of webshops. Siavash was a perfect match.</p> <p>This year Tictail will grow from the four of us to 10-12 peeps so apparently were hiring. But as Tictail wasn’t founded out of potential but passion I’m not looking to find employees but friends to join a team rather than a company. Dont worry, I do realize exactly how crazy that sounds, “Carl founded a company in order to pay people to be his friends”. The point I’m trying to make is that building Tictail takes time, a lot of time. Most of that time we spend together. Tictail has a big chance of winning but it’s like any sport, its not the names of the teams but the players and their performance. If anyone at any point would stop playing well with the others that’s not his or hers problem, the whole team will effectively run slower. </p> <p>The other thing is that bad brings bad. It’s like youre back in grade school and someone says something about someone to you and although you really think this someone is kind of sweet you say something nasty about her hair just to keep your cool.</p> <p>How do you find the perfect fit then? Well honestly I have no clue. I can see how you can find one or two, or in my case three even… But twelve? The verdict is still out. I have a few pointers that guide me though. </p> <p> - In my opinion ambition goes over experience. You can always learn but never know a better way…</p> <p>- Always hire hands-on people but make sure to surround yourself with talkers as they do occassionly stumble over valid points.</p> <p>- make sure that you would enjoy inviting them over for dinner. Social skill is an important skill</p> <p>- make sure its not their only skill</p> <p>I’m a tall kind of blonde swedish kid who smile with my whole face. Want to join my league of best friends? Leo (their CPO) and I knew eachother and decided to take a walk to blah-blah about our revolutions to be. </p> <p class="p2"><img height="253" src="https://d3vp9zdgypbf1g.cloudfront.net/assets/wrapp-confetti-small-92679c731f5ed88c711ef61f357ee078.jpg" width="600"/></p> <p class="p2">What we realized was that there was a good deal to be made; Tictail didnt have an office, Wrapp didnt have a brand identity. We agreed on a simple exchange; me and Kaj would head up their brand identity (in collaboration with talented Max Rudberg) and they would give us space to work for roughly 12 months.</p> <p class="p2">These 12 months have been nothing else than brilliant. I’ve learnt so many things from watching the Wrapp All Star team in action and I would like to believe that we’ve been able to contribute some inspiration from our side too. Wrapp has been kind of like our big brother.</p> <p class="p2">We later both moved in with iZettle and the family once again grew bigger. But just like a family the kids grow and soon enough need to start looking for their own space. Tictail have grown up and we are now moving in to our first own apartment. And this is the best thing; we’re looking to get roomies.</p> <p class="p2"><img src="http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly43yadFV61qzum4c.jpg"/></p> <p class="p2">Our first apartment will be super awesome. All of the things that your parents wouldnt allow will be Hey-Ok! We’ll accompany the coffee with ;a miso brew, we’ll lend you free bikes to get to and from meetings, we’re installing a washing machine (I hate booking a time to wash), we’ll host good talks and great parties and we’ll work - we’ll be doing a lot of work. To arrive at the office should feel like nothing else. We’re looking to populate maybe ten seats - preferably from one or two companies. We’ll be charging a normal rent, not more and not less and are open to strike deals if you have something that we need (or desperately want).
