It was you who started it!
For a year now we’ve been building on this small thing called Tictail. In short, Tictail let’s you create a webshop fast, simple and free.  But that’s only the beginning, over this coming year we’ll iterate and tweak our platform to serve a new generation of webshops. We’ll do so by launching feature set that will increase our store sales, social reach and, last...

I only hire friends
How I got to know Siavash was nothing less than serendipity (Finally I got to use that S-word). He found the bottle post and we found him amazing. It gives me gooze bumps to think that less than a year ago I had not even heard his name before and today he’s not only co-founder and partner of the company I invest my life in but honestly one of my closest friends. Siavash was a perfect...

We're moving again
After a few months of office sharing with our beloved friends over at Wrapp (and one month with incredible iZettle) it’s time for our roads to diverge.  When Tictail was founded a little more than a year ago we used to hang out in my kitchen (which Kaj later renamed to “prison”) - the reason being that salaries are heavy enough to bear without the weight of an office rent when you’re...

Tictail, 2012
There is something extremely profound about the idea of creating a service that will spur thousands of people into create or develop their own business. Even more so at such an early stage. To be a part from the start - to define and change the future of e-commerce. A lot of our greatest features are not yet built, some of them not even conceived. I’m hopeful. Exciting times.

Fail Faster
The other day I was invited to lecture at Hyper Island about my story and my approach to entrepreneurship. But what was I to say? Hyper Island features some of the worlds leading innovators and entrepreneurs, how could I deliver anything convincing in the shadow of giants? I realized that although I have not yet succeded in buidling a multimillion dollar business as of current date theres one...

Amazing photos from Lost and Taken
texturetumble: Today I’ve got the first free texture set exclusively for my Tumblr followers, a great collection of destroyed and corroded vintage 35mm film scans. These were kindly provided by L&T reader Chris Aldridge. They can be used freely in any of your design projects, both personal and commercial. You can click on an individual image below to get to the high-res version or download...

Event management made easy (and free)
Many years ago I was part of founding a company called Keyflow, our idea was to make guestlists digital. It was a good idea and we soon had every nightclub in Stockholm using our system. This was back when the App-store didn’t exist and the iPhone was only a rumor.  I’m now very proud to announce the next generation of Keyflow! Available directly in your iPhone and offered for free....

User Rights should be governed
This blogpost will finish with a start-up idea which I think you should commit yourself to.  The other day me and my two neighbours and close friends, Oskar and Tim in our usual habit spent the tuesday night drinking green tea jabbering away on the big and small things in life.  Oskar is a lawyer, Tim a musician - together we can argue back and forth for hours.  This specific night the topic...

Sean Parkers email to Daniel Ek
Simply Amazing: Business development teams have a bias for working with the top player in a given market, especially when they don’t understand that market. Unfortunately, partnering with iTunes would not only have created the wrong user experience, it would have had disastrous consequences for the emerging digital music industry. and We have to start by understanding the really important...

The future of payment is not mobile
The thing about card payments is that it’s a legacy technology and hence it will be replaced by an alternative media that can communicate more freely with the world around you. One that is not bound to the physical nor digital realm.  The most viable option at this day and age seem to be mobile payments with organizations such as Square and the Sweded iZettle leading the way. The important...

In english (on an “as-is” translation basis) A cat… it sounds very adorable that you want a cat - my friend is an expert on cats and argues that a cat should not be left alone… And a cat pees everywhere, especially if it’s alone a lot, and the entire first 6 months, you have textile beds and your textile couch, where it will scratch - we’ve got a dog who unfortunately...
